'Sleepy Hollow' season 4 spoilers news: Ichabod's new partner named
"True Blood" star Janina Gavankar has been tapped to play the role of Ichabod's (Tom Mison) new partner in "Sleepy Hollow" season 4.
The actress will portray the role of a Secret Service agent named Diana and TVLine reports that she will fill the void left by Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) come "Sleepy Hollow" season 4.
According to the description for the character, Diana is a single mom and a former military officer. She does not believe in the supernatural, which is why she and Ichabod will often butt heads.
"She's got a tough, take-charge personality, punctuated by a wry sense of humor. She also has a softer, more caring side which emerges when she's with her young daughter," the casting description says about the "Sleepy Hollow" season 4 newcomer.
As a tandem, it will be difficult for Ichabod and Diana to find the middle ground as they are often at odds in "Sleepy Hollow" season 4 due to the fact that they have an extremely different approach to doing missions.
Ichabod likes to take it step by step and make sure they have the knowledge before springing into action while Diana believes they should act quickly and that no time is to be wasted.
Eventually, Ichabod and Diana will relate to each other because they will realize they are tormented by the same tragedy, which is the loss of a partner in the line of duty.
However, this will not be the only reason they become effective as a team in "Sleepy Hollow" season 4. According to the description, "the two of them will quickly realize they have another important point of connection — though not one anyone would expect at first."
With all that said, those who are hoping to see Abbie in "Sleepy Hollow" season 4 might have to lower their expectations on the beloved character returning from the grave.
"Sleepy Hollow" season 4 premieres early next year on FOX.
