'Star Wars: Rogue One' news & updates: Ben Mendelsohn arrives as Director Krennic at Star Wars Celebration

The "Star Wars: Rogue One" panel lit up when actor Ben Mendelsohn, who plays the villain in the film, Director Orson Krennic, went up on stage in full Imperial gear along with two Death Troopers.
"Star Wars" fans have to wait until December to see Mendelsohn in action, but thanks to Flicks and the City on Youtube, fans who weren't able to go to the Star Wars Celebration in London can get a glimpse of the sinister Krennic making his way up on stage.

In the video, Mendelsohn can be seen making his grand entrance as Krennic accompanied by a few Death Troopers, who are members of an elite squad of fighters supposedly more deadly than the common Stormtrooper. They are also said to be Krennic's personal guard, and he uses them as his "weapons" against the Rebel Alliance.
Not much is known about Krennic, but he is said to be the Director of Advanced Weapons Research for the Empire, and the Death Star is supposedly his great masterpiece. A big chunk of "Rogue One" is about the rebels acquiring the plans to destroy the Death Star, so it will be up to Krennic to stop them by any means necessary.
Meanwhile, cinematic icon Darth Vader is also said to make an appearance in the film, and Vader and Krennic are supposedly at each other's necks because both want to be at the side of Emperor Palpatine. James Earl Jones, the original voice of Vader back in the original "Star Wars" trilogy, will be reprising his role as the towering Sith Lord, out to destroy the rebel traitors. Vader's body will be played by Spencer Wilding, who some fans will recognize as the prison guard who took Quill's walkman in "Guardians of the Galaxy."
"Star Wars: Rogue One" will come out Dec. 16, and the story will focus on a ragtag group of rebels fighting to obtain the plans for the Empire's superweapon, the Death Star.
