'Steven Universe' season 3 spoilers, plot news: Steven's healing powers are coming back in a sneak peek
The Summer of Steven continues as Cartoon Network has released a new sneak peek for an upcoming episode of "Steven Universe" season 3.
In the clip, Steven discovers that he could heal not only living things, but inanimate objects as well. He plants a kiss on his torn up "MC Bear Bear," and the tear magically fixes itself. Steven then goes on to share his discovery to the Gems, and he starts to trail off on the things that he can fix, but Garnet stops him cold right before the clip ends.
What could that mean when Garnet tells Steven he couldn't fix something? Knowing "Steven Universe," fans can expect there will be a deep underlying backstory that's just ready to punch them right in the heart. Maybe Steven wants to fix the ancient sea spire that he destroyed in the first season? But then again, maybe the episode is just another funny romp with Steven and the Gems.
The next episode of "Steven Universe" season 3 is titled "Monster Reunion," and it's the first in another line of episodes for the Summer of Steven. The titles and airdates have been released, and aside from "Monster Reunion," fans can catch more episodes this week, titled "Alone at Sea" and "Greg the Babysitter." On ther other hand, another new episode will be released next week, called "Gem Hunt."
Though fans are currently enjoying the ongoing Steven Bomb, they are still dreading the eventual end of the marathon, and the inevitable wait that follows after it. The previous Steven Bombs had five episodes air in one week, then a hiatus that followed for months till the next Bomb.
No schedule has been released after the episode that airs on Aug. 1, so fans may have another wait before the next bunch of episodes land.
