'Steven Universe' season 3 spoilers, plot news: 'Summer of Steven' leaked; To air before June ends?
Animated television series "Steven Universe" is currently on hiatus and now fans are looking for more. However, it seems like they will have to wait a little longer for new episodes as Cartoon Network has not announced anything about its return yet.
The cartoon show aired four episodes from its series' special edition titled "Into the Deep." But after that, there was no more follow-up. There are rumors saying though that season 3 called "Summer of Steven" will start by June and run through August. However, it's already almost close to July and there is still no confirmation on the new season.
This isn't anything new to the fans though as the show has always been known to take long breaks between episodes. And even though production for season 3 has already finished, the network is still following an erratic schedule of airing for their episodes.
Reports detailed that the holding back of episodes is a strategy that the show is using. They are promoting binge-watching as it allows the show to have an increase in viewers in both TV and online. Thus, fans will have to be patient if they are planning to follow "Steven Universe."
As for what will take place in the upcoming episodes, a leak surfaced across the web showing a clip of an upcoming episode for the third chapter of the series. The purported clip is titled "Too Short to Ride" and it is said to feature Peridot acting silly with Steven. The clip did not reveal much though, running 14 seconds only.
Fans are hoping to get more details from the show considering the last episode left off with so many questions. Reports stated that France already got a glimpse of what will happen in episode 6 titled "Steven Floats." It has already aired in the country but it has not aired in the United States yet.
