'Steven Universe' Season 4 spoilers news: Enters 4th season; sneak peek leaked
"Steven Universe" fans are in a good place right now. Some time ago, they had to wait for months at a time before getting another "Steven Bomb" (release of a handful of episodes within a week), but as of now, they've been enjoying new episodes every weekday for a couple of weeks now. The series has actually entered its fourth season, and a sneak peak has of the upcoming episode "Know Your Fusion" has been leaked.
Back in the "Earthlings" episode, fans were shocked and amazed to see a brand new fusion debut on the show — the Steven x Amethyst fusion called Smoky Quartz. Smoky's weapon is a mixture of Steven's shield and Amethyst's whip, and they form a weaponized giant yo-yo. Smoky also comes with three arms that allow her to wield three yo-yos at a time.
The next episode is said to focus on Steven and the Gems researching more about fusions. Fans who follow "Steven Universe" know that gems can fuse with other gems to form other bigger gems. Its initial use was for battle, where gems of the same type can fuse to form a bigger version of themselves. Fusion between two different gems is considered forbidden in Homeworld, but it has proven to be a prominent tool in the victory of the Crystal Gems.
Smoky Quartz is the first time viewers got to see Steven fuse with another Crystal Gem. Past attempts did not go so well for Steven, and he was only able to fuse with Connie. His fusion with Amethyst opens the door to fusions with Garnet and Pearl (maybe a different version of Rainbow Quartz?).
What's more, the temple is in the form of a figure of what looks to be the fusion of the four gems put together. Could the Crystal Gems be able to fuse to the gigantic figure once more? Or will Steven have trouble again?
