'Street Fighter 5' character Urien set to arrive this month; power skills detailed
"Street Fighter 5" is getting a new character as part of its September update. Capcom announced that it is adding in fan-favorite Urien, who is also known as the "Dominating Light."
As detailed in a report, Urien is the sixth and final downloadable character in the series franchise and he will be coming alongside costume colors for other characters. He was initially believed to be part of the original roster but it turned out that he was going to be presented as a downloadable content (DLC) character. Thus, fans had to wait a little while for him to arrive.
For those who are unfamiliar with Urien, Capcom described the character in their official blog site as a member of the Illuminati. He first debuted in "Street Fighter III: 2<sup>nd Impact" and was vice president of the organization.
His greatest desire is to take over the entire Illuminati group and rid his older brother, Gill, of his position as president. He also wants to destroy Shadaloo. Moreover, Capcom wrote: "Urien has complete confidence in his own physicality and this elitism shows itself through his sadistic and tyrannical tendencies."
He is also known to delight only in dominating others and crushing down opponents with his incredible power. He will be back in the game wearing his trademark pinstriped suit, as well as his evil smile. Fans may recall that Urien was the playable character in "Street Fighter 5's" story mode.
Some of his signature moves and powers have been revealed. One of his famous moves is the Aegis Reflector which is one of the 66 Iluminati secret arts. He also possesses the Metallic Aura which darkens his skin tone whenever he is charged up. The Metallic Aura provides the forward-propelling special move that can momentarily absorb an attack. Urien also has the ability of channeling energy into his arms. By slamming it the ground, he is able to destroy his opponents.
There is no specific date yet as to when the update will arrive but it's expected to appear at Tokyo Game Show from Sept. 17 to Sept. 18.
