'Suits' season 6 spoilers, plot news 2016: Threat awaits for Mike in prison

American legal drama series "Suits" season 6 is now only a day away from its premiere and fans are thrilled already to catch the new episodes.
The new season is going to pick up after the events of the season 5 finale, which means fans will see Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) trading in his sleek suit for prison clothes. It can be remembered from the season 5 finale that Mike turned in himself to protect Pearson Specter Litt and his friends. And now, he will be facing two years of jail time and it's not going to be easy.
In an interview of Entertainment Weekly with Adams, he revealed what lies ahead for Mike in prison. He said that Mike is obviously not happy to be behind bars but he will at least feel some sort of freedom as keeping his secret for five years has not been a breeze.
Now that it's out, all he has to do is figure out what he will be doing in the days to come. Mike will also have to watch his back as Adams teased that a threat is going to surface.
"A threat sort of comes along, and he's forced into a situation where he needs to start defending himself and coming up with a game plan of how to protect himself over the long haul," said Adams.
Adams did not detail the threat in his interview with EW. However, he did divulge some in a separate interview with Hollywood Life wherein he said that some people in jail have a history with Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht). They could be getting their revenge through Mike and this will lead him to just try to find a way to stay alive.
It's still not known until when will Mike be in jail but spoilers suggest that it's going to take some time as season 6 will be about him dealing with life in prison.
"Suits" season 6 will premiere on July 13 at 9 p.m. on USA Network.
