With Superman himself now officially added to "Supergirl" season 2, more DC Comics icons are now expected to appear on the second season of the hit comic book adaptation.

According to the latest reports, Batwoman and Oracle will make their debut in the television scene when "Supergirl" flies to its new home network, The CW.

Cinema Blend points out that the characters, at least in the comic book world, do not have a rich history with Supergirl. However, the latest casting for season 2 introduced the possibility of them showing up in National City.

For starters, with the show having added Maggie Sawyer, comic book fans can't help but wonder if this could be an opportunity to bring her ex-girlfriend Kate Kane better known as Batwoman into the fold.

According to Bleeding Cool, Kate's adventures as Batwoman will rope her to National City every now and then. During those times, she is expected to interact with Kara and Maggie come "Supergirl" season 2.

With regards to Oracle, the computer hacker alter ego of Barbara Gordon, who once fought crime in Gotham going by the name Batgirl until a horrific tragedy where she lost the use of her legs, will also find her way to Supergirl's territory.

Oracle is rumored to become close friends with Kara in "Supergirl" season 2. She will also have a connection with Batwoman by having her establish the Birds of Prey heroines.

She did this in the comics, but only with Dinah Laurel Lance and not Batwoman. Either way, should Oracle and Batwoman appear in "Supergirl" season 2, the Arrowverse will grow to exciting new heights.

Although promising, Cinema Blend believes that the Batman-related characters will figure in "Supergirl," especially with the "Gotham" series on a roll over at FOX.

However, with shows not following their source material, anything can happen in the small screen world of comics.

"Supergirl" season 2 premieres Thursday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
