'Teen Wolf' season 6 episode 6 spoilers: Next episode to deal with banshee history?

Thanks to the trusty blue jeep, Roscoe, Scott (Tyler Posey) and Lydia (Holland Roden) can now believe beyond a doubt that a guy named Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) does actually exist. However, where and how do they begin looking for him?

Luckily, Stiles has left them with something to get them started before their radio frequency was cut. And in the next episode of "Teen Wolf" season 6 titled "Ghosted," Scott, Lydia and Malia (Shelley Hennig) seek out a place called Canaan, which could be the key to bringing Stiles back into their world.

The episode preview shows the crew successfully pinpointing the place on a map, which turns out to be a ghost town right outside Beacon Hills. The place looks deserted enough except from a lone middle-aged woman who welcomes them with a huge smile. It doesn't take long for Lydia to realize that their host is a banshee like herself. And this particular banshee does not seem to have good intentions for them at all.

Just what kind of a place is Canaan? Could it be a vision of what will become of Beacon Hills if they don't stop the Ghost Riders soon enough? And does the fact that the only creature left in town is a banshee mean that the Ghost Riders have no power over them, or could this banshee be working for the Ghost Riders?

During this year's New York Comic Con, actress Roden shared that one episode in the first half of season 6 will be delving into the origin of banshees. Could she have been referring to the upcoming episode?

"A lot of the season is not focused on the banshee-ism, but there is one amazing episode that is all banshee history," Roden said.

Another thing that fans are looking forward to is Peter's (Ian Bohen) condition after his self-sacrificing act brought Stiles' car keys to his friends. How long will it take his charred body to heal? And will he really be leaving Beacon Hills, or have a change of heart and stay on to help his daughter, Malia, and her friends in their fight against the Ghost Riders?

"Teen Wolf" season 6 episode 6 airs after the holidays on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 9 p.m. EST on MTV.
