'The Affair' season 3 spoilers: Characters in tricky situation; Scott to return?

Drama series "The Affair" is still months away from its return to the small screen for its season 3, but fans are already getting some tidbits of information on what will happen next after the event from the season 2 finale.
According to reports, "The Affair" season 3 will continue to tell the story through the perspectives of Noah Solloway (Dominic West), Alison Lockhart (Ruth Wilson), Cole Lockhart (Joshua Jackson) and Helen Solloway (Maura Tierney). Season 1 only revealed the perspectives of Noah and Alison and the progress of their affair. So when season 2 came, the story became clearer and wider with the addition of Cole and Helen's perspectives.
Season 3 will unfold more of the characters' thoughts and feelings. In fact, as revealed by Tierney in an interview, the show will return with the characters in a tricky situation.
"Nobody's in the clear in season three. Every season it's about the consequences of the choices made in the previous season, so it's going to be tricky for everyone in season three," stated Tierney.
Season 2 final episode left off with Noah taking the blame for Scott's (Colin Donnell ) death. Noah is innocent though as it was really Helen who was behind the wheel when they hit Scott while Alison was the one who pushed Scott to the streets. Noah stepped forward as the suspect as he wants to protect the mothers of his children.
Donnell's interview with Yahoo! coincided with Tierney's teaser when he said that things will get complicated in the new season. There are also going to be unexpected twists that fans should watch out for. Some are speculating that perhaps Scott is still alive. But considering the accident that was shown, Scott was as good as dead. If he does return, it is most likely going to be a flashback.
"The Affair" season 3 is scheduled to premiere on Nov. 20 on Showtime.
