There have been a lot of rumors going around that "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 will be the show's last. Kunal Nayyar, who plays Raj in the sitcom, thinks so too.

In an interview with "This Morning," the actor said that in this ever-evolving industry, "The Big Bang Theory" lasting beyond season 10 could be a long shot.

"It's very rare for television shows to be on this long. It just doesn't exist. The tide is changing," Nayyar said via Digital Spy, comparing "The Big Bang Theory" with the cult-favorite sitcom "Friends."

"I don't know to be honest, it could be the end. Hopefully, it's not. The decisions are not up to us. I hope it isn't. Unanimously, none of us want it to end," the actor admitted.

Nayyar added that he, his castmates and the crew know how lucky they are to be part of "The Big Bang Theory" and that the industry, due to the changes it's undergoing, may not have a show like it again.

Last month, Nayyar said that "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 could very well be the end of the long-running sitcom as far as their contracts go.

Earlier this year, Nayyar's castmate Jim Parsons said that there could still be follow-up to "The Big Bang Theory" season 10.

In an interview with TVLine, the actor said that thinking about what could make one bolt the show, "I don't think it would be between seasons 10 and 11 – not if things are going well."

However, last year, "The Big Bang Theory" showrunner Steve Molero expressed that season 10 might be the end for Sheldon and company.

In the last nine seasons, the circle of friends has grown so much with marriage and starting a family already at play.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 will deal with the cliff-hanger of Sheldon (Parsons) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) possibly becoming stepbrothers.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 premieres Monday, Sept. 19 on CBS.
