With just a few more days left until "The Blacklist" season 4 premieres, fans are already excited to catch the new episodes and find out how things will unfold for the crime television series.

According to reports, the new season is going to be high in emotions and thrill as Liz Keen (Megan Boone) will be fighting for her life while in the hands of Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen). Liz was kidnapped by Alexander who said she was her father. Liz was left with no choice but to stay and find out the truth.

The synopsis also revealed that Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader) will be set to find her no matter what the cost and even after Liz betrayed him by faking her death. The Task Force on the other hand will still be shocked with the news that Liz is alive after all.

And to amp up the hype even more, a teaser clip was released in "Tonight Show" during Spader's guesting. The clip showed Red meeting up with a couple of nefarious guys in a restaurant. It also featured the Blacklister Esteban, played by Paul Calderon. Red wants something from Esteban but it's not known yet what it is that he needs from him. Could he help in finding Liz in Cuba?

Moreover, Boone teased in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that season 4 may be looking deeper into Liz's past. More about who she is and where she came from will be exposed. Some of her secrets may even be uncovered, as well as Red's true connection to her.

Ryan Eggold also shared that his character, Tom Keen, will be in trouble once season 4 opens. "I open season 4 locked in a trunk, which is not a good place to be," Eggold said. But it's said that his struggle won't last long and as soon as he is able to deal with the matter, he will be set to look for Liz and their baby Agnes.

"The Blacklist" season 4 premieres Thursday, Sept. 22, at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
