'The Last Ship' season 3 updates: tensions rise between US and China
The next episode of "The Last Ship" is titled "Eutopia" and it will focus on characters Tom Chandler (Eric Dane) and Peng Wu (Fernando Chien). The White House will also have Kara (Marissa Neitling) looking for a potential traitor of the United States.
In the upcoming episode, Kara will reportedly be looking for an impostor within the White House who has been giving away sensitive information to the Chinese government. Chandler, in the meantime, will deal with the newly appointed President, Howard Oliver (John Cothran). Oliver will discuss his new security concerns with Chandler, and the episode is said to share more light on the dynamics of the two characters.
The episode will also focus on the deal struck between Chandler and Peng Wu, the Chinese president. Wu apparently has found a substance that is immune to the cure of the Red Virus. It has not yet been revealed by the show, but there must be a reason why the Chinese are going against the cure.
The new trailer for the episode also teases a war that is to come. Best bets say that the war is between US and China. With the Chinese working on a "resistant substance," Chandler will need all the information and help that he can get.
In the meantime, the White House will be going on lockdown as Kara tries to smoke out which one of Peng Wu's spies have made it into the US.
The trailer also has footage of people attacking Chandler's ship. Based on the tension between Chandler and President Wu, it may very much well look like the US will have to defend itself against China.
