'The Originals' season 3 spoilers, plot news: Marcel is becoming twice the evil Lucien was in 'The Bloody Crown'

The worst fears of the Mikaelsons have been realized. "The Originals" season 3 finale promises the rise of Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) as a super-Original, a possibly angrier version of Lucien, hence much more dangerous.
Elijah (Daniel Gillies) is still under the impression that he killed Marcel, but little does he know that the fate the prophecy has always saved for them and the one they worked so hard to stop will soon come to pass.
By the end of the penultimate episode of "The Originals" season 3, it was revealed that Marcel already drank the serum and hasn't even hesitated in doing so. That's why even though Elijah ripped his heart out, he was alive and is more worked up.
Explaining how his character has become after the death of Davina (Danielle Campbell), Davis pointed out that Marcel isn't spiralling out of control.
"I would say he's taking more risks and being more daring. Maybe reckless? But I feel like when you spiral, you become a danger to yourself. He's going to be dangerous, but not to himself," the actor told TV Line.
Fans can expect Marcel to go on a rampage in "The Originals" season 3 finale. With the serum now flowing in his blood, it is easy to think that the Mikaelsons could be doomed. His master plan found him assembling an army of Klaus' oldest enemies, ready to make him pay.
However, Klaus and his family may still have saving grace in the person of Rebekah (Claire Holt). The trailer for "The Originals" season 3 finale hints that she will be back.
Her return will stun Marcel and if her argument will be convincing enough, she will be able to spare her brother Klaus from the new super-Original's wrath.
In "The Originals" season 3 finale clip, Rebekah bravely steps up to Marcel's throne, declaring herself to speak on Klaus' behalf.
It will be exciting to see how it all turns out, but if Marcel won't be stopped and if Rebekah fails to coax him, the Mikaelsons might soon meet their brutal end.
"The Originals" season 3 finale "The Bloody Crown" will air on Friday, May 20 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
