'The Originals' season 4 spoilers: Baby Hope is baby no more; Klaus 'nervous' to meet his daughter

When "The Originals" returns to the small screen with season 4, Hope will no longer be a toddler, thanks to the five-year time jump the show will be doing in the new season.
Just last week, it was reported that the show is looking for a young star to play the role of Hope in the upcoming season. The hit supernatural drama found Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) in Summer Fontana.
The youngster starred in "Basic Witches," which means that she has some experience dealing with the supernatural and will help her navigate another world in "The Originals."
"I'm excited to see what kind of personality this little girl has," Tonkin said of Hope as a big girl in "The Originals" season 4 during chat with TVLine at San Diego Comic Con.
"Even though she hasn't been around her dad for the last five years, I think there's a lot of Klaus in her — good or bad — and I'm excited to see that in this little powerful witch," the actress added.
With regards to Klaus, who missed five years of his daughter's life, Morgan said that he is hoping that Hope will understand why his father was not around, especially because his absence meant keeping her out of harm's way.
In his life, Klaus came across fearsome and deadly enemies, but he has not felt a real scare. That changes in "The Originals" season 4, where fans will see him anxious in meeting Hope and how his daughter will react.
"I think he'll be really, really nervous to meet her and to see if she can forgive and can understand the sacrifices that he made, which people are calling her over," the actor said.
Hope is believed to be very powerful and is expected to be the key to bringing the Mikaelson family back to safety. Fans have been waiting to see her show off her abilities and this will all happen in "The Originals" season 4, which will premiere early next year on The CW.
