Fans who loyally follow the reality TV show "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" are mourning along for the death of reality star Johnny Karagiorgis. Popularly known as "The Greek" in the show, the guest star passed away on Saturday, June 4.

According to a report by Us Weekly, Karagiorgis died due to a massive heart attack. His wife, Penny Drossos, confirmed the news on Facebook and asked people to give her and her children some time of privacy as they grieve.

Although Karagiorgis was not a series regular, he and his wife were friends with Teresa Giudice and Kim DePaola. They also brought lots of drama to the show. It can be recalled that the reality star filed a lawsuit against NBC and Bravo in 2013.

Hollywood Life detailed that he sued the networks after a big fight blew at the opening of DePaola's store, Porsche 2. Karagiorgis got into a brawl with Joe Gorga who confronted him for allegedly saying something against his wife, Melissa Gorga.

The fight did not end so well but Karagiorgis believed that it was the show's producers that plotted out the fight to bring in more drama. The Karagiorgis couple no longer returned to the show after the conflict. He and Drossos decided to maintain a low-profile life afterwards.

In other news, the show has been on hiatus for a while but it is set to return to the small screen a few weeks from now. The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" season 7 will be back this July 10 and will be introducing two new faces. The first one is Siggy Flicker, a book author and relationship expert, while the other one is Dolores Catania, a single mother of two and a family friend of Giudice.

The two will be living life in front of the camera together with other cast members, Giudice, Jacqueline Laurita, and Melissa Gorga.
