'The Real Housewives of New York' news: Luann de Lesseps celebrates bridal shower; new stars coming
"The Real Housewives of New York" star Luann de Lesseps is getting married and she just celebrated the last days of her being single. After being engaged to boyfriend Thomas D'Agostino last February, the 51-year old reality star will be tying the knot in Palm Beach on New Year's Eve.
According to reports, de Lesseps gathered all of her friends to join her in her bridal shower. But contrary to her popularity, her party was a private and intimate one, with only of her closest friends invited. She also closed the event from Bravo, which means it will not be featured in the upcoming season 9 as the network was not given the permission to cover it.
The bridal affair took place in the Big Apple and was hosted by a longtime friend of de Lesseps'. Included in the guest list were her fellow stars Sonja Morgan and Dorinda Medley, who was actually the one who introduced the New York businessman groom to the bride.
Also in attendance were de Lesseps' daughter, Victoria, and her niece Nicole Nadeau. Missing in action were Bethenny Frankel who attended a John Legend concert and Ramona Singer who chose to stay home and spend time with her daughter Brynn.
Even though de Lessep's bridal shower was exclusive, it was all over social media so fans still got to take a sneak peek into how the event unfolded. Basing on the bride-to-be's tweets, the soiree was full of fun.
"Sweetest night ever w my peanut. Life begins again," Frankel tweeted. The fun composed of a hotel staycation, swimming, room service, pizza, movie and snugs. All of the ladies also wore sparkly tiaras with the bride's crown saying "Bride to Be." Her outfit for the night was also stunning; she wore a low-cut, belted, lacy white dress with a silky skirt.
In other news, rumors have it that "The Real Housewives of New York" will be adding new stars to the mix. Nothing is confirmed yet so fans will have to watch out for more updates.
