Electronic Arts (EA) has finally confirmed the news regarding new downloadable for "The Sims 4." The expansion "City Living" has been on top of the rumor mill for quite some time and now it's all official. Fans now have more reasons to play the game.

As detailed in the official website of "The Sims," the expansion is going to bring a whole new experience to the gamers. From the usual suburb life, "City Living" will be featuring the hustle and bustle of the city.

It's going to be set in a place called San Myshuno, which the site describes as a "beautiful coastal city tucked up against the nearby mountains." But a report noted that the new setting appears to be a replica of New York City.

It is said to be packed with lots of things that the Sims can do and even introduces new people. The expansion also promises to come with new experiences for all gamers like playing basketball in the Spice District or meeting up with friends after work at a karaoke bar.

"City Living" also incorporates the festival experience and as noted, there are five different festivals options available in the game. One cited example is a Romance Festival where Sims can go on a date. There's also going to be a Geekcon for those into geeky stuff.

And instead of living in the usual luxurious houses, Sims are given the experience of living in an apartment. It's detailed that gamers need to make their Sim move into an apartment in San Myshuno. And to make the game more realistic, apartments are limited compared to houses. Sims have to conform to apartment rules or else the landlord will be visiting with a furious face.

Gamers can definitely expect lots of interesting characters and quirks. There's going to be a lot of options that can be found in the apartment too so there is no need to worry about how limiting it could be. Sims are also given the chance buy their own penthouse in the city as they go up the ladder through one of the new careers which include Politician, Critic and Social Media.

"The Sims 4: City Living" will be released worldwide for PC and Mac platforms on Tuesday, Nov. 1.
