'The Walking Dead' season 7 spoilers news: New promotional photos released; 'TWD,' 'The Talking Dead' earn Emmy nominations
AMC has released two new photos from the highly anticipated "The Walking Dead" season 7.
The first one, which was revealed by Entertainment Weekly on Wednesday, July 13, is of new ubervillain Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) on that fateful night back in the season 6 finale. He is seen backlit by the lights of his group's vehicles as he points Lucille, his infamous barbed wire-covered baseball bat, at someone in front of him.

The other, which is now also the cover photo of the show's official Facebook and Twitter pages, shows Negan in front of Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his group, who are all on their knees in front of the villain.
The second photo was revealed on Thursday, July 14, on the show's official Twitter page.
The new photos were released ahead of the season 7 trailer, which will reportedly drop Friday, July 22, during the zombie apocalypse drama's panel at the San Diego Comic-Con.
Meanwhile, the complete list of nominees for this year's Emmys were released on Thursday. While none of the cast members of "The Walking Dead" received Emmy nods, the series as well as its after-show "The Talking Dead" were nominated in several categories.

It is also up for an Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup For A Series, Limited Series, Movie Or Special award, for which it will be competing against "American Horror Story: Hotel," "All The Way," "Game of Thrones," and "Penny Dreadful."
