'The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine' DLC update rumors: Toussaint will be as big as Skellige

New details about "The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine" downloadable content (DLC) have been revealed during an interview of developer CD Projekt Red with German publication Gamestar.

A translation of the interview by Reddit user Pawel95 revealed that the much-awaited expansion pack will be released before the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 in June, although a release date is still to be determined. This means that the "The Witcher 3" DLC should hit the market very soon.

The "Blood and Wine" DLC has also been teased to come with a chunk of content so humongous that, at some point in the past, it was even regarded as "better" than "The Witcher 3" game itself.

In this interview, CD Projekt Red revealed that the DLC will be "as big as all islands of Skellige combined," making Toussaint, the new region players will explore in "Blood and Wine," as big as the actual game itself.

Skellige is one of the main regions in "The Witcher 3." It encompasses six islands and it is deemed one of the biggest areas in the title. In "Blood and Wine," players will get twenty hours' worth of story and missions.

The developer also teased that the expansion pack will feature improved graphics, which will definitely make fans love "The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine" even more since the first DLCs of the title already looked good.

CD Projekt Red recently gave fans a taste of the DLC with a set of screenshots showing the color, vibrancy, and amazing oddness of Toussaint, which is home to giant centipedes and colorful plant life.

During the interview, CD Projekt Red also said that they have no plans to release remastered versions of the first two "The Witcher" games. There will also be no retail version of all three games in one package.

What fans can expect is a "Game of the Year" edition for "The Witcher 3," which includes each and every patch and expansions ever released in the game.
