'The Young and the Restless' recap, spoilers: Jill and Billy fight; Summer visits Luca in jail
"The Young and the Restless" wrapped up the week with a clash between Jill (Jess Walton) and Billy (Jason Thompson). The two went head-to-head as Jill tried to control things in Billy's life, including his affair with Phyllis.
Jill confronted Billy about sneaking around with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). They had a conversation that stirred conflict because Jill wanted Billy to end things with his brother's wife. She wanted them to be where they are supposed to be — Phyllis with Jack (Peter Bergman) and Billy with Victoria (Amelia Heinle).
This led to a full-blown argument and Billy has already had enough of his mother. Billy told her that she doesn't know the bond between him and Phyllis but Jill did not want to hear that it was love.
Meanwhile, Jack and Phyllis also had a confrontation. Jack apologized to Phyllis for pushing her to act like everything was alright in her life. His wife, however, felt guilty and confessed that she should be the one who to say sorry. Jack became confused as Phyllis admitted that she had been lying to him. The scene ended there.
On the other side of the story, Summer (Hunter King) visited the police station to give her statement to Paul (Doug Davidson). Now that her ex-fiancé's true colors had been exposed, she must deal with the aftermath. With Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) in jail, Summer is anxious to end things once and for all. After filing the paperwork, Summer visited Luca in his cell.
Although Luca told Summer how much he loves her and he knows that she loves him too, Summer said he just used her. Luca admitted that at first, he just wanted information from Newman but in the process, he truly fell in love with her. Summer initially responded coldly but later on confessed that she can never stay mad for so long at Luca.
In the coming week, fans should get ready for even more drama. Based on the teaser trailer, it seems as if Billy and Phyllis' affair will finally be revealed. The short clip showed Jack confronting Billy head on if he's in love with his wife.
