'The Young and the Restless' spoilers: Adam's hope is Victor; Phyllis confronts Billy

"The Young and the Restless" is opening the week of Aug. 29 with more tension as Adam faces more trouble ahead.

According to spoiler reports, Adam will lose the hope of ever getting out of prison. But he does have one more thing left that he can choose to cling on to and that is to trust the same man who put him behinds bars. Adam will tell Chelsea that if she wants him to be with her, she will need to trust Victor.

As fans already know, Chelsea has always had a problem trusting Adam's father. But with Adam's life on the line, she will need to decide on what she can do to help protect and save Adam. Will Chelsea bring her walls down and trust Victor?

Meanwhile, things will get complicated between Phyllis and Billy. The two have shared an affair in the past but ended it to make things work for Phyllis and Jack. However, fans know that it's not the last time they'll be seeing their relationship. As said in the spoilers, Billy and Phyllis will run into each other while inside an elevator, and from there, the two will be stirred up to admit their true feelings for each other.

But things will get tense after Phyllis mentions that Travis is in town again after being convinced by Victoria to come back and help break the upcoming wedding of Summer and Luca. Billy will not be able to hide his disappointment and jealousy in his face, and Phyllis will notice it.

It will trigger a negative emotion in her, and she will start accusing Billy that he is still in love with his ex-wife. She will tell him that he is not over Victoria yet, and she has been a fool for thinking that he really loves her. Billy will defend himself, but Phyllis will no longer listen. Billy will counteract her claims, though, telling her that she is the one who has a problem as she has yet to leave Jack for him.

Even if he is Jack's brother, Billy was willing to risk his life just to be with Phyllis. Will the two ever fix things and find their own happiness?

"The Young and the Restless" airs every Monday to Friday on CBS.
