'The Young and the Restless' spoilers: Daniel returns to Genoa; Adam loses hope

Spoilers for the Thursday, Aug. 25 episode of "The Young and the Restless" suggest that it's going to be packed with drama and emotions. For starters, Daniel has returned to Genoa City.

According to a report, Daniel came back to the city for the wedding festivities that are set to take place. Summer and Luca are getting married despite the opposition of Summer's family. They don't want Summer to marry Luca, who they find shady, at all. In fact, Phyllis even resorted to teaming up with Victor just to sabotage their wedding. They weren't successful, though.

Summer and Luca will hold their engagement party in the upcoming episode. However, the spotlight will turn to Daniel who unexpectedly arrived at the party. Summer will be surprised to see her brother who said that he wouldn't miss his sister's wedding for the world.

It's not that Daniel also agrees with the union of the two, though. He is also against Luca even though he has never met him before. He could already tell that Luca isn't a good man, and he doesn't want his sister to live a life of hell with him.

Noah will also show his protective side. He is also against Summer marrying Luca, and it seems like he has something up his sleeves. Will Noah and Daniel team up to overturn the wedding? Will Summer's brothers be the family's last chance to convince Summer not to marry Luca? Fans will have to stay tuned to find out.

Meanwhile, Adam is losing hope with his case. Spoilers say that he will see no chance of getting out of jail anymore, with his court date coming up fast and especially after what he did to the prison guard who was merely serving him a meal.

Adam lost control of his mind due to lack of sleep and food. He beat a prison guard to a pulp, and now, he is charged with assault. The guard is currently in a coma, and if he dies, Adam will end up convicted of murder.

Adam knows that he will live the rest of his life behind bars, but Chelsea will still be clinging on to hope. She will beg for mercy for Adam's life, asking the judge to look carefully at the case. Will Chelsea be successful in her pleading?
