Tim Tebow news 2016: Calls for unity amid national tension

Some of the fans of football star Tim Tebow are not all too happy about the news that he will be part of the recently concluded Republican National Convention (RNC).

Tebow took to Instagram to debunk the rumors and also convey a message of unity and taking part in the efforts of making America a better place to live in.

"I love our country and I would do anything for America. One thing that I love most is that it's one nation under God," the National Football League superstar said.

"Do you know what that means? It means that you matter, God has a plan for your life and that every single person is significant," he continued.

Tebow then urged everyone to set aside their differences and focus on working together as a nation. In light of the recent Baton Rouge shooting, he encouraged people to love one another regardless of their color or where they come from.

As a proud devout Christian, Tebow has never been shy about showing his faith in God, demonstrating it with everything he says and does.

He couples this with actions, such as his effort to bring 500 pounds of medical supplies to a struggling orphanage across the Amazon.

This good deed appears to have resonated with United States presidential candidate Donald Trump, who gave Tebow a shoutout during the RNC convention.

"Let me tell you, I love Tim Tebow. Tebow is really a guy, I mean a really great guy. Ever been around him? I have. And you know what? He's great," Trump said.

"You know what makes Tim Tebow so amazing? Other than that he's met me, of course. What makes him amazing is that he is a living breathing example of Two Corinthians. He does Two Corinthians like no one else," he continued.
