'Titanfall 2' release date 2016: Respawn to go big for sequel's E3 reveal, game will not disappoint

Respawn Entertainment is confident about its upcoming release "Titanfall 2." The game will be presented at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 and the developer urges fans not t o miss it.

In response to a fan who tweeted his excitement about the sequel, Respawn tweeted "We think Titanfall 2 will steal the show. Definitely, do not want to miss our reveal!"

Respawn is excited for the unveiling of "Titanfall 2" on Sunday, June 12 during the Electronic Arts (EA) Play event, the studio's presentation at the convention.

"There is a lot to be excited about for this coming Sunday," the developer teased another fan. "Sunday is going to be a great day for Titanfall fans," Respawn promised in another tweet.

"Titanfall 2" was announced in April with a teaser that featured a mech using an interesting choice of weaponâ€” a sword. A leak followed, hinting the possible addition of grappling hooks in the sequel.

According to Electronic Arts chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen "Titanfall 2" will take on popular shooters such as "Battlefield 1" and "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" when it releases this fall.

It has been implied that the "Titanfall" sequel will be available around three weeks before the former releases and a couple of weeks before the latter. According to DualShockers, that puts it between Sept. 30 and Nov. 11.

The game is doing a good job already with competing with "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," if the leak about the Mountain Dew Game Fuel bottles showing "Titanfall 2" are any indication.

The soda company collaborated with "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" for last year's campaign and although a new installment is set to be released, Mountain Dew appears to have chosen "Titanfall 2" over it.

It is said it has something to do with the poor response to the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" trailer, which quickly became one of the most disliked YouTube videos.

Respawn will have to deliver considering what they said about the "Titanfall 2" presentation at the E3. The unveiling will take place Sunday, June 12, at 1 p.m. PT (9 p.m. BST).
