The newest resident of Wayward Pines is about to get a good look at the horror show of a town he will soon call his home in the latest promo for "Wayward Pines" season 2.

In the new clip (embedded below) released by FOX in lieu of the show's imminent return, Dr. Theo Yedlin (Jason Patric) begins to explore the uber creepy neighborhood of his new home.

The "Wayward Pines" season 2 clip suggests that Theo will catch on early on the nuttiness of the place as his attempt to make sense of what he is suddenly doing in the strange town led him to see some horrendous things.

He laid his eyes on the legion of aberrations aka abbies and the enormous wall that prevents him from going out of the spooky town and stops the flesh-eating hybrids from entering.

The promo also teases the return of the star-studded cast from the first season of "Wayward Pines" including Carla Gugino, Terrence Howard, Hope Davis and Melissa Leo.

Other original cast members returning to "Wayward Pines" season 2 include Shannyn Sossamon, Toby Jones and Charlie Tahan. New additions include Kacey Rohl, Josh Helman and Nimrat Kaur.

Djimon Hounsou is also joining the cast of "Wayward Pines" season 2 as a key character going by the name of CJ Mitchum, a historian of the town who is one of the first residents of the town.

Being around Wayward Pines longer than anybody else allowed him to gain extensive knowledge about the place. Not having CJ on Theo's side will certainly complicate the new guy's stay there.

In "Wayward Pines" season 2, the town is under the iron-fisted leadership of First Generation with Jason (Tom Stevens) calling the shots. After suspended animation, Theo wakes up to a rebellion, which has Wayward Pines in chaos.

"Wayward Pines" season 2 premieres Wednesday, May 25 at 8 p.m. EDT on FOX.
