'Wolverine 3' release date, cast news: Star Hugh Jackman shares Logan's look for the movie

Hugh Jackman had teased before that the third Wolverine solo movie would be based on Mark Millar's "Old Man Logan," and the Aussie actor recently shared a photo that possibly shows off Logan's look for the upcoming movie — a look that embodies Logan as an old man.

Screen Rant reports that the thinner look that Jackman has in the photo will likely be part of the story that the movie will try to tell. In the comic "Old Man Logan," Wolverine had given up his superhero antics and settled down with a wife and children — all while the supervillains took over America. The comic shows a dystopian future where all the heroes have lost, and a blind Hawkeye comes looking for Logan's aid as he sets off on a cross-country mission to deliver some illegal goods.

Granting that there are certain intellectual property issues, the movie will not be 100% faithful to the comic, but it looks like it will focus a lot on Wolverine's connection to the Weapon X program. The movie is even rumored to be titled "Weapon X."

There are also rumors floating around that the movie will feature Wolverine clone X-23. X-23 is a female version of Wolverine, and she has two claws on each hand, with one claw each on her feet. The character first debuted on the animated series "X-Men: Evolution" and has since then branched out to the comics due to her popularity.

Granting this is also the last movie that fans will see Wolverine in, some are hoping that a cameo appearance will be made by Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool. Deadpool has had an interesting friendship with Logan in the comics, and Reynolds and Jackman have been having some real-life antics together that fans are sure to love when the two come together on screen.
