"Workaholics," Comedy Central's sitcom about three slacker potheads, is going to end next year. The seventh season, which is coming early 2017, is said to be the show's last.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Adam Devine, who plays Adam Demamp on the show, revealed, "This is it, we think... We've talked as a group. We kind of think now's a good time to put it to bed."

The "Workaholics" team, which consists of Devine, Blake Anderson, Anders Holm, and Kyle Newacheck, has been together since their internet days when they were the viral-comedy group, Mail Order Comedy. The four then started to work on "Workaholics" in 2011, and the show has since launched their careers as comedy mainstays in the industry.

Devine has found a career in movies, starring in "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates" which was released earlier this month. Anderson and Holm have also had guest stints in various TV shows, and Newacheck has been hard at work being a director/writer for "Workaholics."

Though Devine said that the show is definitely ending, his co-star Anderson has been a bit more optimistic about the show's future. He said, "We're trying to at least take a lengthy break from it ... We're saying it's the last season, for now."

The four are currently working on a movie called "Game Over, Man!" which is set to start production in March next year. Devine calls the project an action comedy, describing it as some kind of "Die Hard" but comes with "three idiot John McClanes."

Fans of "Workaholics" may remember that the pilot episode had Blake going through the air conditioning system and repeating some lines from "Die Hard," so fans might say that the group has some deep roots with the Bruce Willis-fueled action movie.

"Workaholics" season 7 doesn't have a final release date yet, but fans can expect it to arrive early 2017.
