Xbox Live Games with Gold August 2016 free games list news: 'Red Dead Redemption' for free?
Xbox users can't wait any longer for August as they anticipate some great games that are coming for free with Xbox Live Games with Gold.
According to Ecumenical News, fans are speculating that "Red Dead Redemption," the free-roam cowboy shoot-em-up game from Rockstar Games, would be included among the free titles to be offered for Gold members. The Bit Bag reports that the title was included in the line-up for July, but plans apparently didn't push through. Perhaps August will have "Red Dead Redemption" finally available.
Fans also guess that Square Enix's game "Sleeping Dogs" will be available for free as well. It may not be one of the most played games by users, but perhaps players will be more willing to give the game a try if it is offered for free. Other rumors suggest that Crytek's "Ryse: Son of Rome" would make its way to the list. The game was released back in 2013, and reviews have described it as a tactical version of "God of War."
No official announcement has been made about the upcoming games for August, so it's best to take this as pure speculation (though "Red Dead Redemption" seems very likely). Xbox Live Games with Gold subscribers can expect an official announcement towards the end of July.
In the meantime, there are free games that have also been offered for free this July, and these include titles like "The Banner Saga 2," "Tron: Evolution," and "Tumblestone." These games remain free until the end of the month, except for the "Tumblestone" which will be available until Aug. 15, and they are all considered to be well-received titles.
