Xbox One S release date news 2016: 500 GB and 1 TB versions, August launch for game bundles

The 500 GB and 1 TB models of the highly-anticipated Xbox One S will be available on Aug. 23 and they will be bundled with free games to make them harder for buyers to resist.
Priced at $349, the Xbox One S 1 TB will come packaged with a digital copy of "Madden NFL 17" and a total of seven Madden Ultimate Team Pro Packs.
It also offers one month EA Access and a limited time promotional code that awards the buyer a 20-percent discount for their next purchase at NFLShop.com.
Gamers can also go for the Xbox One S "Halo" Collection Bundle, which comes with a copy of "Halo 5: Guardians," a digital download of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" and a matching Xbox Wireless Controller.

This bundle is offered both in both the Xbox One S 1 TB (with a 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial included as well) for $349 and the 500 GB version for $299.
It is important to note that the 1 TB version of the Xbox One S will only be available in limited quantities from physical and online Microsoft stores in the United States.
Although all Xbox One S models and bundles are now available for pre-order, missing the 1TB version will make the 2 TB and 500 GB versions as the options for many.
Before the smaller-spaced versions of the Xbox One S make a splash in the gaming world, the 2 TB version will be released first on Aug. 2. The console sans free games is priced at $399.
A "Gears of War 4" Limited Edition bundle will also be available at $449. It comes with a special limited edition Crimson Omen controller, 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial and free download of the Xbox 360 "Gears of War" collection.
The Xbox One S is a sleeker, slimmer and upgraded version of the current Xbox One. It is 40 percent smaller, but it has a new, revamped design and greater power.
It is capable of 4K upscaling games and 4K resolution for supported titles as well as for Blu-rays, apps and movies. High Dynamic Range (HDR) capability is also on board.
