Microsoft has been silent about several reports that the company is planning to develop a slimmer version of the Xbox One console. However, new reports have surfaced online from the Brazilian counterpart of the FCC, which suggest that the American tech giant is currently working on the Xbox One Slim version.

According to a report by Yahoo, a leak from the Brazilian regulatory board revealed information about Microsoft's plan to improve the housing features of the current Xbox one. It is said that it will be a slimmer version of the popular console.

"As much as the FCC might be a stickler for the rules in the U.S., its counterpart in Brazil isn't quite so strict. It turns out someone has turfed up some specifications and a photo for what might be internal components for a new iteration of the Xbox One. Along with an image of the alleged hardware, the regulator's listings reference a chip and manual linked with the Microsoft console," as stated in a report by Yahoo.

Previous reports earlier this month have also suggested that Microsoft might release the console this summer. The rumor was sparked after alleged FCC filings from the company, which have June 25 and July 29 expiration dates.

Another report suggested that the new Xbox One Slim might be related to the upcoming Windows 10 Anniversary edition. It is an interesting rumor that might just be true. Rumor has it that the software company has a major update in the pipeline for the current Xbox One console.

As of now, Microsoft has yet to provide any comment with regard to the rumors; however, fans believe that the company will announce something at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016.

The new Xbox Slim might be Microsoft's answer to Sony's rumored PlayStation 4K, which is said to come out this year.
