Latest reports also say that a leaked photo recently surfaced, suggesting that the upcoming phablet will have a sizable double-curved front panel. A cutout for a rounded home button can also be found at the bottom, and rumors have it that it will double as a fingerprint reader. The alleged device looks like the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.
Other purported specs include an HD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a 2160 x 3840 resolution. A 64-bit Qualcomm 821 processor will be under its hood. Two variants are said to be available. One will be with a 4 GB of random access memory (RAM) with 32 GB of storage space. The other one is said to be packed with 6 GB of RAM with 64 GB storage space.
Moreover, rumors said that the expected battery capacity is worth 4,000mAh with support for Quick Charge 3.0. Word also has it that the Mi Note 2 will be coming with Force Touch, a technology that first appeared in the Apple iPhone 6S.
As for the camera features, sources say that a standard version of the model will feature a 16-megapixel rear camera with a dual-LED flash. It's also said that there's going to be a version that will carry a 12-megapixel rear camera.
Currently, nothing is confirmed or official. It's best to take reports with a pinch of salt. Those who are interested in picking up the device will have to stay tuned for more updates.
