Xiaomi Redmi Pro specs news: Official teaser released; dual-camera setup confirmed

Xiaomi has finally made an official announcement regarding their next flagship, the Redmi Pro. After being at the top of the rumor mill for months, the device is now no longer a rumor.
According to Times of India, the device was first revealed in a teaser image which shows the company's CEO Lei Jun holding the device. It doesn't show much but it did unveil the metal unibody back panel of the device. It has also confirmed that the device will be featuring a dual-camera setup.
As seen on the teaser image, the cameras on the smartphone are placed vertically. An LED flash is situated in between the two lens. It's also noted that there is no presence of a fingerprint scanner at the rear.
And although nothing much has been said, reports said that Xiaomi already confirmed that the Redmi Pro will be powered with Mediatek's Helio X25 chipset, which comes along with deca-core CPU clocked at up to 2.5GHz.
Xiaomi is yet to unveil more of the specs and features through the scheduled event that will take place on Wednesday, July 27 at China National Convention Center, Beijing. Fans are now waiting for the grand reveal and many are wondering if some of the leaked details will turn out to be correct.
As detailed on BGR report, the device is expected to feature a 5.5-inch full-HD display. It may also be running with Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 and carry a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The predicted battery capacity is 4,850mAh while its native storage is 16 GB.
Other anticipated features include 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi. As for the price, the Redmi Pro is rumored to start at CNY 1299. An upgraded version can go up as much as CNY1399. Consumers who are interested to pick up the device soon will have to stay tuned for more updates.
