Acer Aspire C Series release date, specs, price news: Affordable AIO PCs available this holiday season

Acer recently expanded its range of all-in-one (AIO) desktop computers with the introduction of the Aspire C Series. The newly unveiled PCs come with an attractive and slim design. Its affordable price tag also makes it an ideal gift this holiday season.

"The new Acer Aspire C all-in-one desktops are an excellent choice for those desiring a gorgeous PC with ample power at a great price for managing your digital library of music, photos and videos," said Frank Chang, director of stationary products for Acer America.

The Acer Aspire C Series is ideal for both entertainment and productivity. Its sleek chassis is able to tilt from -5 to 20 degrees. Users can adjust the angle depending on whether they are watching a movie or working on documents. For video conferences or casual conversations, there is a 1-megapixel HD webcam and a built-in single array microphone. The AIO PC also comes with two speakers. With all these features combined, users can expect vibrant images and clear sound.

The Acer Aspire C Series is available in two models: a 21.5-inch variant and a 23.8-inch version. Both feature an Active Matrix TFT Color LCD display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The screen's bezels are also ultra-thin measuring at just 0.31 inches. The smaller model is powered by Intel's sixth-generation quad-core 1.6 GHz Celeron J3160 processor while the larger variant is equipped with the Intel sixth-generation dual-core 2.3 GHz Core i3-6100U chip. Both models can support up to 8 GB of random access memory (RAM) and 1 TB of internal storage capacity.

In terms of connectivity, there are two USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports. The AIO PCs are available with the Windows 10, FreeDOS or Linpus Simple Linux operating systems. The Windows 10 Home version also comes with a free trial of Microsoft Office 2016.

The Acer Aspire C Series 21.5-inch model is available to purchase for $499.99 while the 23.8-inch variant is priced at $699.99.
