'Agent Carter' Sneak Peak Video, Release Date 2015: Original Jarvis Revealed
The new trailer for the upcoming series "Agent Carter" has been released with a preview of the original Jarvis.
Marvel posted the video on Twitter: "Meet the original Jarvis & more in a special sneak peek at #Marvel's @AgentCarterTV, coming to ABC Jan. 2015!"
It seemed that Tony Stark is not Jarvis' original pal. In the trailer, Marvel unveiled Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) and Howard Stark's (Dominic Cooper) scene – including Jarvis.
Jarvis, not Ironman's A.I., is Edwin Jarvis, played by James D'Arcy, and was Howard's butler at the time. In the comics version, he was a "talented butler who looks after Avengers mansion and Tony Stark," according to Hollywood Reporter. However, in the "Ironman" franchise, he is an A.I. brought to life by the voice of Paul Bettany, who will also be the voice of The Vision in "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
"Agent Carter" is set in 1946 era. The movie revolves around Carter's administrative job in SHIELD. At the same time, his friend Howard Stark was framed in a crime and she must find a way to clear Stark's name and reveal the real perpetrators.
Marvel announced the series late October with a tagline, "Sometimes the best man for the job is a woman."
Atwell has already been featured in other Marvel films such as: "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," and "Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter," all as her role, Agent Carter.
The Marvel drama will premiere in January 2015 on ABC.
