'Dragon Ball Super' episodes 67, 68 spoilers: Is Zamasu finally defeated?

Goku goes out on a quest to gather the dragon balls to bring King Kai back to life in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 68 | YouTube/Toei Animation

It seems that the battle with Zamasu is not yet over since he still has one last resort before he dies in the latest episode of "Dragon Ball Super." There is also a possibility that Son Goku will search for the Dragon Balls in order to summon Shenlong and fulfill their wishes.

In episode 67 of "Dragon Ball Super," the face of Zamasu was spreading the across the skies in what seems to be the final effort of the main antagonist to defeat Goku and Vegeta. With his last ditch effort, Goku tried to transform into Super Saiyan Blue for one last time, but failed to do so because his energy was not enough. Vegeta also attempted to do it by eating the Senzu beans first, but he was unsuccessful as well. This may be due to the exhaustion with the long battle that they have experienced with Zamasu.

It was mentioned in reports that they still had one last hope in order to finally defeat Zamasu: Trunks. Future Trunks was still capable of transforming into a Super Saiyan.

Son Goku combined his Kamehameha wave with the Gulick Gun of Trunks in order to deliver a powerful blow towards Zamasu. It seemed that they were successful, but Zamasu may still be alive.

There are suggestions that the next episode of "Dragon Ball Super" will show the main characters finding the Dragon Balls so they would be able to summon Shenlong. Their main goal is to resurrect Kaio, but it seems that the other friends of Son Goku also want a wish from the Shenlong. The show might also have a new plot arc, as the new timeline caused by Future Trunks will be destroyed.

"Come Forth, Shenlong! Whose Wish Shall Be Granted" is set to premiere on Sunday, Nov. 27, on Fuji TV at 9 a.m. Japan time.
