'Final Fantasy XV' release date, news, details: Director of game releases statement regarding leaked footages

"Final Fantasy XV" will finally be released this year and a lot of players have been waiting for it since the game has undergone 10 years of development. However, leaks of footage from the game are spreading and the director has expressed his opinion with regards to the issue in a statement.

A lot of leaked footages have been uploaded online and the developers of the game, Square Enix are already taking action in order to stop the situation from getting worse. The director of the epic fantasy game, Hajime Tabata has been apologetic to fans with the contents of the game leaking. He also stated that they are doing their best effort to pursue legal action against the leaks.

Based on the reports of IGN, Tabata said in an official statement, "I'd really like to apologize to people out there that these kinds of problems are happening. It's just a very sad state of affairs." He added: "We're currently looking into whether these kinds of activities, spreading these spoilers across the internet, does legally constitute obstruction of our business or not. And if it's found it does then we will take legal measures to stop these being posted and take them down."

The director of the game also said that since people have been waiting such a long time for the game, it's unfair to spoil their fun. He urged leakers to stop.

"Final Fantasy XV" follows the story of Noctis, whose main quest is to reclaim his right to the thrones of his kingdom. On his journey he is accompanied by his friends, Gladiolus, Prompto, and Ignis as they face the army of Nifleheim. The game has an open world format where players can freely explore the world of Eos.

"Final Fantasy XV" is anticipated to be released on Nov. 29 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
