The 12th episode of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 featured a lot of intense and shocking moments, and it looks things are only going to get even more exciting with the upcoming airing of the show's 13th episode this season.
In "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 episode 12, viewers learned that Alex (Justin Chambers) won't get thrown in jail for assaulting Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti). Alex initially intended to accept a plea deal instead of going to trial. However, while he was with the district attorney and waited for his lawyer, DeLuca arrived informing them of his intention to drop the charges.
Alex was able to return to his job at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, provided that he submit the relevant documents proving that his criminal case was officially closed. Alex also expressed his apology to DeLuca, but he was not very receptive. DeLuca told him that had Alex come to him earlier, all the trouble they went through would have been avoided. He also told Alex that he had only dropped the charges because of Jo (Camilla Luddington).
The altercation began when Alex arrived home and mistakenly thought that DeLuca was trying to take advantage of Jo while she was drunk. In reality, he was just trying to help her to bed.
Because of everything that had happened, Jo and Alex's relationship is at a crossroads. When she found out that Alex won't be thrown into jail anymore, Jo went to his home, hugged him and left. At this point, the future of their relationship remains uncertain.
