LA Lakers trade rumors 2016: Chicago Bulls to trade Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler to Lakers?

It appears that Los Angeles Lakers will be having a lot of offers from Chicago Bulls this coming NBA Season. If the rumors are correct, the Chicago basketball team is planning to trade Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler to the Los Angeles team. However, the latter may already have someone in mind for an addition to their lineup as it is reported that Philadelphia 76ers' Jahlil Okafor has caught the attention of Lakers. It would be possible if Lakers will formally trade for Okafor this year.

Chicago Bulls will have a lot of things to consider to step up their game from a rather underwhelming performance of the team in the previous season. With that, Chicago could be experimenting a bit with their current roster in hopes that they will come out strong in the upcoming NBA season. The name of Derrick Rose has circulated on the internet as a possible trade of Bulls to other teams. According to Michael Rene Kanoy, a writer for the Pippen Aint Easy blog site, there is a likelihood that the Bulls will be trading Rose after they fired their point guard's rehab specialist. It can be noted that Rose has encountered a number of injuries in the past season, and he has had a specialist that checks his physical condition, especially with regards to his injured knee.

Kanoy listed Los Angeles Lakers as Rose's possible destination, in exchange for Lakers' number 2 pick, or perhaps one of Los Angeles' new players.

"The Lakers get their coveted marquee player with D'Angelo Russell staggered at the point and can offer Rose the moon next year easy. The Bulls can trade down the draft with the 14th pick if they score the second pick from the Lakers for more picks and grab role-playing defensive athletes," Kanoy wrote on the blog site, which is dedicated to Chicago Bulls fans. However, there is a chance that Lakers will not accept Rose, given his history of career-threatening injuries that only allowed him to play a total of 167 games. Aside from Rose, Jimmy Butler has also been rumored to be traded to Lakers in the offseason. Michael Wonsover of TodaysFastBreak said that the Bulls might be trading Butler for Lakers' D'Angelo Russell, Nick Young, Brandon Bass and the number 2 pick.

Meanwhile, SilverScreenandRoll reported that LA Lakers is eyeing for Philadelphia 76ers' forward Jahlil Okafor. However, there is no confirmation from the team regarding the trade rumors, but the Los Angeles team is surely planning a stronger team this season to become a championship contender once again.
