As the NBA season continues to heat up, the battle for the top spot in the Western Conference continues to be impressive.

Initially, it was the Los Angeles Clippers holding the top spot in the West, but the Golden State Warriors now hold the best record. The San Antonio Spurs are also somewhere along the middle as the elite teams jockey for position.

Many believe that the Clippers should try and take advantage of their chance this year, but there are already rumors linking big moves to try and help the Clips get their elusive championship.

According to talks, some of the biggest names in the Clippers' locker room may be leaving the team soon as they take part in big-named switches.

There is an incredible rumor linking Chris Paul to a possible swap with Stephen Curry of the Warriors. Both players are the superstar point guards in their respective teams and it is unlikely that they are going to be traded this year.

However, there is a belief that when the two hit the free agency, there can be a changing of the guards between the Clippers and the Warriors.

Meanwhile, there is also a suggestion that Blake Griffin and Pau Gasol of the San Antonio Spurs may be on the trading block. This may easily be a move to help the Clippers get more money by letting go of Griffin while still keeping talent by having the veteran Gasol in their line-up.

These changes are all rumors and nothing is set in stone at the moment, but if the Clippers are not successful this year the best thing to do might be to let go of some key pieces. This could bring in fresh blood and try to keep the team as relevant as possible for a long period of time.
