A known tech analyst at KGI Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo, was the first to claim that Apple will be releasing the new MacBook Pro this year. Specifically, he predicted that the new MacBook will be unveiled during the last quarter of 2016, This is why many people who followed the September 7 Apple Event believed that the MacBook Pro 2016 would appear that day. This time around, the rumors are rife that the Cupertino-based giant has reserved a separate date for the unveiling of the new MacBook Pro.

According to a report from Bloomberg, there is a possibility that Apple will be holding another press event this October. As the September Apple Event was focused on the company's iPhone, smartwear, and operating systems, the next event is expected to talk about the new Macbook. Aside from the MacBook Pro, the public might also see a revamped MacBook Air and iMac.

The Mac Pro 2016 is reported to pack new features in the MacBook line. It is rumored that the new Macbook model will be the thinnest one yet and boast a more classic appearance compared to its predecessors. It is expected to receive LTE connectivity for an improved internet access. For the first time, the popular iPhone and iPad virtual assistant, Siri, will be introduced in the new MacBooks.

While it is not fully confirmed, one of the very interesting rumored features of the 2016 Macbook Pro is the secondary OLED touch screen. It is said to be placed above the keyboard and contains shortcut keys to easily access the frequently used applications.
