Following Apple's announcement of its latest gadgets, many people are wondering what Microsoft has to offer before the year 2016 ends. Previous reports suggested that the Redmond-based company is already planning on launching three major devices later this year including Microsoft Surface Pro 5, Microsoft Surface Phone and the much awaited Microsoft Surface Book 2. Although the company has yet to provide concrete details with regard to its upcoming releases, several reports have emerged saying that the next generation Surface Book 2 might be unveiled before the year ends.
According to a report by iTechPost, Microsoft is giving away discounts on the current generation Surface Book. Although the company has yet to make an official announcement with regard to the development and release of a new iteration, people are speculating that the current price cut is an indication that a successor is coming. According to the publication refurbished Surface Book along with Microsoft Surface Pro 4 are currently up for sale with 15 percent discounts. For a 128 GB Surface Book, you will only pay $1274, which is $225 less than its original price. The 512 GB variant is now available for only $2294, which is $405 less than its price when it first came out in the market.
In an earlier report by Windows Central, an alleged image of Surface Book 2 was posted on the Instagram. According to a source, the photo was said to be a brand new Surface Book device, which Microsoft has yet to reveal. Nonetheless, the image was taken off from the social media site and the company did not provide any official statement in response to the rumors and speculations.
As of the moment, fans are still hoping that Microsoft will finally unveil the new laptop. Until then, all rumors and speculations must be taken with a grain of salt.
