Two of the most-requested features for "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" have been added to the game via the latest update rolled out by CyberConnect2.

As promised, the developer brought back the eight-player endless matches and the tournament spectator mode, which CyberConnect2 chose to ditch in the game.

These features were present in the older iterations of the "Naruto Shippuden" games and were even fan-favorites, which is why fans were understandably disappointed that they were left behind in "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4."

Thankfully, the studio's update 1.08 aims to rectify that. Instead of four players, endless matches can now feature the usual eight. The spectator mode on tournaments has been brought back as well.

This means that instead of being forced to stare at a blank space as they wait for their turn at the battle, "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" players can once again "spectate" while their opponents are in action.

Other changes reported by Saiyan Island through a fan include the removal of the glitches on the full combo support, unlimited awakening and kunai.

Characters with broken techniques have been nerfed. The affected parties include Pre-Time Skip versions of Lee, Naruto and Gaara as well as Tailed Beast Naruto, Nagato, Gaara, The Last Sasuke, Shino and EMS Sasuke.

After the "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" update, using the strike-back feature will be ineffective in the event the player counters.

Last but not the least, CyberConnect2 will be handing out penalties to those who rage quit. The opponents, in turn, will not only win, but also receive points.

In other news, brand-new gameplay footage from the highly anticipated "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – Road to Boruto" downloadable content (DLC) has been released.

The clip shows Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki conjuring a team ultimate jutsu at an opponent with their master Adult Konohamaru. The versions of Hokage Naruto and Adult Sasuke on the "Road to Boruto" DLC appear to have a new team ultimate jutsu up their sleeves too.

The opening for the DLC has also been revealed. It is unclear if it will be replacing the opening for the original and if it will be available on the digital version.

The "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – Road to Boruto" DLC will be released on Feb. 2 exclusively for PlayStation 4 (PS4) Japan while the rest of the world will be able to get it on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on Feb. 3.
