While the New Orleans Pelicans seem to be struggling this season, there is some good news for the franchise as Anthony Davis appears to want to stay at the moment.

As of the new campaign, the Pelicans are well below the .500 mark with a 4-10 record as they have the second-to-the-worst record in the Southwest Division.

This has been happening despite the excellent play of Davis, resulting in many rumors linking him to a move away from the franchise. Many believed that Davis should be playing somewhere there are various pieces surrounding him who can maximize his efforts on the floor.

As of the moment, Davis is averaging incredible numbers with 31.7 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. He is also shooting 50 percent from the field and 81 percent from the free throw line.

With all these trade talks going around, it is a breath of fresh air that there are rumors that Davis wants to stay with the Pelicans.

Despite the struggles of the franchise, Davis seems settled with the team that drafted him back in 2012 and wants to help the franchise improve and get back in the playoff picture.

Things have improved slightly for the Pelicans, and Davis' performances have received a lot of praise. Not all may be lost for "Unibrow" at New Orleans.

Davis signed a five-year extension back in 2015 and is set to remain with the team until the 2020-21 season. At the moment, he is earning around $22.1 million and that will grow significantly in the coming years.

Furthermore, Davis is establishing himself as one of the best players in the league which is a very scary thought given that he is only 23 years old and still has a lot of room to grow.

If the Pelicans want to keep their star, they must also repay him with players that would help him move forward.
