Both Nokia and LG have been dominant competitors in the mobile industry for a long time. Nokia's Lumia series has undoubtedly been a competent contender against other devices such as those superb ones produced by LG.

Let's now put up the Nokia Lumia 1520 against the LG Optimus G Pro and see which one has the upper hand.

Display

The display of the Nokia Lumia 1520 is largely similar to other Lumia handsets, which is 1080x1920 pixels with 368 ppi. The the LG Optimus G Pro has the same 1080x1920 pixels display but with a slight quality edge at 401 ppi.

Design

Considering Lumia 1520's size, which is 162.80 x 85.40, it is quite thin at 8.7mm. However, it is heavier at 209 grams compared to LG's 170 grams. LG Optimus G Pro's size is 150.20 x 76.10, which is significantly smaller, but it is also thicker at 9.40mm.

Processor and Storage

The Lumia 1520 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 processor (Quad core, 2200 MHz, Krait 400) while the Optimus G Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 APQ8064T processor (Quad core, 1700 MHz, Krait 300).

For the RAM and storage, both phones are equipped with 2GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. However, the Lumia is expandable up to 128 GB while the Optimus G Pro is expandable only up to 64 GB.

Camera

Lumia 1520's rear facing camera is 20 MP, which is clearly better than LG Optimus G Pro's 13 MP. However, LG's front facing camera wins at 2.1 MP compared to Nokia's 1.2 MP.

Battery

Nokia's battery comes with a 3400 mAh power while LG's is slightly lower at 3140 mAh.

Price

While Nokia may be winning on the specifications, the prices between the two phones have significant differences. Nokia is priced at $480 while LG is priced at $330. This is understandable because the LG Optimus G Pro is clearly lower in specifications.
