It seems that Nokia's comeback isn't limited to just the mobile phone arena as the Finnish brand could also be planning to conquer the tablet segment with a device that will possibly rival the 12.9-inch iPad Pro and other large-screen tablets.

According to reports, a GFXBench listing for a new tablet with a massive 18.4-inch display was recently spotted. While the Nokia brand or any other identifying marks were nowhere to be seen, the listing did indicate that the device will be preinstalled with the Android 7.0 Nougat FIH Edition, which hints that it will indeed be a Nokia device.

To recall, in 2016, FIH Mobile, a subsidiary of Foxconn Technology Group, partnered with HMD Global to take over Nokia's mobile phone and tablet sales. The former is said to be in charge of the tablet division while the latter will be focused on the brand's smartphone offerings.

Based on the listing, the touchscreen display will have a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and the Adreno 540 graphics processing unit (GPU) with 4 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and 64 GB of built-in storage. A 12-megapixel (MP) camera is also found on both the front and rear of the tablet with the capability of shooting 4K Ultra HD videos. Only the rear camera is equipped with autofocus and LED flash.

Information about the rumored 18.4-inch Nokia tablet is scarce at this time but HMD Global has already confirmed that it will make an appearance at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona this February. It's possible that alongside the unveiling of new smartphones, including the China-exclusive Nokia 6 and the rumored flagship offering, currently called the Nokia P1, Nokia could also introduce its newest Android-powered tablet.

However, without any official confirmation from both FIH Mobile and HMD Global, information revealed by the benchmark listing should be taken with a grain of salt.
