The official release date of "One Punch Man" season 2 has yet to be revealed and avid fans are hanging onto every bit of information that they can get about the new season premiere and plotline. However, its creators have remained mum until now about the development of the anime's second season.

Back in April, an announcement was posted on the "One Punch Man" Twitter page. The post stated that the second season of the anime series will "no doubt" be coming to Toonami, the late night animation block on Adult Swim and previously on Cartoon Network, "by the end of the year."

Yet, despite this update and all the other premiere date speculations, "One Punch Man" fans are still in doubt and seem to not be satisfied with the revelation since there are barely any official news and reports on the actual progress and development of the anticipated season 2.

Meanwhile, theories about the story arc of "One Punch Man" season 2 based on the events that unfolded in the preceding season are also making their fair share of rounds on the web.

The story of the anime series is central on the feats and adventures of the lead protagonist Saitama, also nicknamed Caped Baldy. Saitama is a very strong and mighty warrior who is capable of taking down his adversaries with only one powerful punch, which is fundamentally the origin of the title "One Punch Man."

It can be recalled that in the first season, Saitama won over Lord Boros. They went into a battle which proved to have been so intense that the hero was thrown to the moon and his opponent ended up losing an arm.

The Bitbag teased that Lord Boros will be returning for another confrontation with Caped Baldy. Boros, who has the ability to heal himself thanks to his regenerative skills, will be expected to come back more prepared and tougher than he was in the past.

Apart from Boros, a number of other possibly very powerful challengers will be introduced in "One Punch Man" season 2.
