A new teaser hinting at the next "Overwatch" playable hero has been revealed.

As previously announced, "Overwatch" will be introducing a new character to its roster of heroes soon. The game's official Twitter handle shared an image teasing the upcoming character on Sunday showcasing the Numbani map's spawn area. While it's still the same location seen in the game, it appears that the airport terminal has been severely damaged. "[BREAKING] OR15 defense units destroyed in confrontation with unidentified assailant at Numbani airport. No civilian casualties reported," the caption reads.

The image comes just days after Blizzard offered more details about the mysterious new fighter. In a Twitter update earlier this week, Blizzard introduced players to newcomer Efi, an 11-year-old inventor. "Meet Efi Oladele—winner of the Adawe Foundation's genius grant for her achievements in AI and robotics," the post reads.

While some fans believe that Efi would be the new hero, others speculate that she's actually the creator of the latest "Overwatch" character. Many gamers have been hoping that the playable character heading to the game is Doomfist, but Blizzard remains tight-lipped about the fighter's identity.

Doomfist is an evil creature that has loomed large since the studio first launched the game in 2014. Polygon notes that in "Overwatch" lore, multiple characters have already assumed the mantle of Doomfist. Each of them carried a powerful gauntlet, and in the game's original cinematic teaser, Widowmaker and Reaper are seen trying to get it — only to be stopped by Winston and Tracer.

In other related news, Blizzard led the way at this year's DICE Awards after winning a total of four major trophies. The studio took home Action Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Online Gameplay, Outstanding Achievement in Game Design, and the biggest accolade of the night, Game of the Year, for "Overwatch."
