'Persona 5' release date, news, update: launch date pushed back to Apr. 4, 2017 for North America, Europe; 'Take Your Heart' Premium Edition's inclusions revealed

While the Japanese fans of Atlus' most awaited role-playing video game, "Persona 5" have already immersed themselves in the supernatural realms of Tokyo back in September this year, the much-eager players from Europe and North America are yet to get their hands on the sixth installment of the 'Persona" series. This is mainly due to the repeated push-backs the game has been enduring.

Initially, it was given the release date on Valentine's day in 2017. Days after it was confirmed for its launch, the people behind the video game have announced that the newest iteration will have to be shipped off two months longer — April 4, 2017.

According to Atlus' PR Manager John Hardin, "Persona 5 set the gold standard for Atlus with its launch in Japan, and we wanted to put the utmost care into ensuring it winds up the best when it launches in the west." Hardin, via his blog, has added that since the forthcoming release is a special one and due to the delay as well, the game is set to feature a dual audio for PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PlayStation 3 (PS3). Further, the feature will be treated as a downloadable content (DLC) and is said to be free forever.

And as if these are not enough, Hardin has also shared the inclusions of the game's "Take Your Heart" premium edition. These include a soundtrack CD in which the musical compositions of Shoji Meguro will be featured. Along with Meguro's soundtrack, the twin wardens of the Velvet Room Justine and Caroline will also be part of the roster.

Moreover, the edition will be composed of Morgan plush, the cat mascot, a 64-page hardcover artbook that contains sketches of character designer Shigenori Soejima, a steel book collectible case and a school bag, a replica of traditional Japanese school bags which comes with the complete Shujin Academy crest.
