'Resident Evil 7' Day One patch comes with new trophies, DLC support

Capcom officially released "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" in the market this week, and it comes with a minor Day One patch.

According to a report from VG 247, the small Day One patch is only 806.2 MB in size. Yet the patch was released to bring several bug fixes and other game improvements.

ThisGenGaming also revealed that the patch notes for the Day One patch include supports add-ons, additional trophies, notifications for future additional game chapters, as well as several fixes for specific bugs and issues.

More specifically, the patch comes with an added support for the game's soon-to-be-released downloadable content (DLC) titled "Banned Footage Vol. 1" which will be released on Tuesday, Jan. 31. The first DLC will be sold for $9.99.

The first "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" DLC will reportedly come with two VHS tapes that players can watch using the VCRs within the game. It also includes a brand-new game mode in which players must find a way to escape from a locked bedroom without letting Marguerite Baker notice, as well as defeating numerous enemies keeping themselves alive in the morning with the use of several items and traps.

On the other hand, the new trophies that came out with the Day One patch include the Bronze Dead By Dawn? trophy by completing the Nightmare chapter, the Silver Sleepless trophy that can be earned by finishing the Night Terror chapter, the Bronze Like Mama Used To Make trophy by finishing the Bedroom adventure, the Silver Ratcatcher trophy that can be earned by finding all the dead rats in Bedroom in a single play, as well as the Gold Ethan Never Dies trophy that can be earned after completing Ethan Must Die.

However, the complete list of bug fixes that came out with the Day One patch for "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" has yet to be released.

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is already available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
